Fayose reveals why he may soon dump PDP

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, says he may dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) if the supreme court rules that Ali Modu Sherrif is the authentic chairman of the party.

Fayose said this in reaction to reports that he had removed the name and logo of the party from his campaign office situated in Ado-Ekiti.
Channels TV quoted as saying pending the outcome of the court judgement, he remains a bonafide member of the PDP.

A Federal High Court had declared Ali Modu Sheriff as the national chairman of the party.

The Appeal Court later affirmed the ruling.

In reaction, the faction led by Makarfi has approached the Supreme Court to give a final decision on the tussle.

The apex court has fixed May 25 for hearing of the crisis in the opposition party.
Makarfi and some members of the PDP, including Fayose, have refused to recognise Sheriff as national chairman
