Fani-Kayode Links NSA Phone Bugging to Terror Network, Cites Uba’s Killing

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has alleged that those responsible for tapping the phone of the National Security Adviser (NSA) may be the same network that enabled terrorists to track and kill the late Brigadier-General Dzarma Zirkusu.

In a strongly worded statement, Fani-Kayode suggested that the individuals who allegedly intercepted the NSA’s communications could also have been behind the security breach that exposed the coordinates of the late general, leading to his execution by terrorists.

“Permit me to begin by saying that it is likely that it is the same people who tapped the late Brigadier-General Uba’s phone and gave the coordinates of his location to the terrorists that led to his execution that bugged the NSA’s phone,” he said.

The former minister further alleged that the same group may have played a broader role in facilitating terrorist activities across the country, including killings, abductions, and widespread violence.

“It is likely that it is the same people who have enabled the terrorists to kill, abduct, terrorise and abduct our people and brought misery, suffering, tears and carnage to our land that bugged the NSA’s phone,” he added.

Fani-Kayode’s remarks come amid heightened concerns over national security and allegations of surveillance breaches within Nigeria’s security architecture. Authorities are yet to officially respond to the claims.

The development has sparked renewed debate over internal security, intelligence leaks, and the need for tighter safeguards to prevent sensitive information from falling into the hands of criminal elements.
