Faleke Leads Tinubu’s 2027 Charge with APC Nomination Forms

The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on behalf of President Bola Tinubu as preparations intensify for the 2027 presidential election.

The forms were formally presented to Faleke on Tuesday in Abuja by the National Organising Secretary of the APC, Suleiman Argungu, who declared the nomination process officially open.

Faleke, founder of the Tinubu Support Groups, paid a sum of N100 million for the forms, signaling the formal commencement of Tinubu’s re-election bid under the ruling party.

In a related development, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced key dates for the 2027 general elections. According to the electoral body, presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for January 16, 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will take place on February 6, 2027.

INEC also disclosed that party primaries, including the resolution of internal disputes, will be conducted between April 23 and May 30, 2026.

Campaign activities for presidential and National Assembly elections are set to begin on August 19, 2026, while campaigns for governorship and state assembly elections will commence on September 9, 2026.

These developments mark the early stages of political activities ahead of what is expected to be a highly contested 2027 general election.
