Ex-Jagawa State governor, Sule Lamido arraigned in court

The immediate past Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, was on Tuesday docked at a court in Dutse, the state capital for allegedly inciting violence.

Lamido, who was arrested on Sunday by men of the State Police Command was docked on a four-count charge.

The former governor was arrested for allegedly inciting violence ahead of the upcoming Local Government Elections.

Lamido has been in police custody in neighbouring Kano State since Sunday following his arrest by the police.

The former governor was taken to Dutse earlier today for his trial amid heavy security.
