Encourage children to play football- Ilaboya urges parents

Edo State Football Association chairman, Frank Ilaboya has appealed to parents guardians to encourage their children to participate in sports and most especially in football.
He hereby described the game of football as very lucrative for
enjoyment and money making so that they can be able to support their
parents in the near future.
The FA boss stated this at the Lets Play programme, soccer clinic for
children between the ages of eight and thirteen held at the Samuel
Ogbemudia stadium Benin City on Saturday
The one day soccer clinic sponsored by SuperSport West Africa in
collaboration with the Edo featured over three hundred kids across the
state who were been tutored on the rudiment of the game of football by
ex-internationals such as Austin Eguavoen and his brother, Monday,
Ndubuisi Okosieme, Anthony Emodoefu, Wilson Oboh and many other youth
coaches.
He said: “Football is a very lucrative sport for enjoyment, for money
making and now that parents are begin to realize the benefits accrue
from it, they have to put your children at that age to play this game,
so that they can be able to support their parents in the near future.
“We saw how much the transfer fee for Neymar jnr. was from Barcelona
FC in Spain to PSG in France. Also, we saw Floyd Mayweather one hour
fight purse amounting to millions of dollars, and we are planting
their minds that the can further their talents and I am happy with
this partnership with SuperSport. It is going to be something that
will be memorable for Edo state, for the kids and their parents.
