El-Rufai’s Mother Dies After Prolonged Illness

Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma.

The news of her passing was disclosed on Friday by her grandson, Bello El-Rufai, who currently represents Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

According to the family, the late Hajiya Umma had been dealing with age-related health complications, which reportedly worsened in recent weeks. Her condition was said to have further declined after learning about her son’s detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Sources close to the family noted that El-Rufai had been closely involved in managing her health prior to her demise.

The family has since offered prayers, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus.
