Ekiti 2026: APC Endorses Governor Oyebanji as Consensus Candidate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially endorsed the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, as its consensus candidate for the 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.

The motion for Oyebanji’s affirmation was moved in Ado-Ekiti on Monday by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and seconded by Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Stephen Aribasoye.

Speaking at the event, Ahmed Ododo, Chairman of the Affirmation Congress Committee, stated that the party’s decision reflects Oyebanji’s remarkable achievements across multiple sectors, which have positively impacted the lives of Ekiti residents.

Ododo further emphasized that the APC remains a party of discipline and integrity, qualities that continue to inspire public confidence in Oyebanji’s leadership and governance style.
