Eid-el-Fitr: Tinubu Calls for Unity, Compassion, and Renewed Patriotism

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm greetings to Muslims across Nigeria and around the world as they mark the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, urging citizens to embrace unity, compassion, and a renewed sense of patriotism.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President encouraged Muslim faithful to uphold the spiritual lessons learned during Ramadan, including piety, selflessness, perseverance, and kindness.

He noted that the values cultivated during the holy month should not end with the fasting period but should continue to guide daily interactions and national conduct.

President Tinubu also called on Muslims to show generosity by supporting the less privileged, regardless of religious differences, as a demonstration of unity and shared humanity.

Furthermore, he urged religious leaders to use the festive occasion to offer prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria, stressing the importance of collective efforts in building a stronger nation.
