Eid-El-Fitr: Ogun Command Battle Ready For Any Act Of Criminality – CP Ebrimson

The Ogun State Police Command has deployed large number of policemen consist of the command’s tactical teams across the state to arrest any act of criminality that might want to rear its ugly head before, during and after the Salah celebration.

The command hereby felicitates with Muslim faithful across the state on the occasion of this year Eid-El-Fitr celebration which marks the end of Ramadan fasting.

DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command stated this in a statement he made available to Daily Dispatch on Saturday in Abeokuta.

Oyeyemi clarified that in view of this festive period, the Commissioner of Police (CP) Kenneth Ebrimson deployed the command’s tactical teams which included SARS, Anti kidnapping units, Anti cultists unit, Bomb disposal unit as well as other conventional policemen across the state.

He said: “The command also wishes to appeal to the good people of the state to keep on observing the social physical distancing and other safety methodologies that will prevent the spreading of Covid-19 pandemic.

“The command hereby enjoined Muslims faithful to reflect on the reasons for the Ramadan fasting and be good ambassadors of Islam by maintaining peace all the time.

“Also, the command while congratulating the Muslims on the successful completion of 30 days fasting, also wishes to use this medium to remind all and sundry that the ban on social and religious gatherings is still in force and it should be strictly adhered to.”
