Edo police command parades prison breakers, kidnapers and others

Three suspects who attempted to blow-up Oko prison, Benin City with improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have been paraded by the Nigeria Police Force, Edo State command.
The suspects who were on a mission to liberate some of their gang members detained since December 2017 for kidnapping, murder and other sundry cases were arrested by the Inspector General of Police, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) before they carried out their deadly acts.
The state Commissioner of police, Dan Mallam Mohammed while parading the suspects alongside many others at the command headquarters, Benin City told newsmen that the command have eight suspects involved in various crime activities.
The CP gave the names of the three suspects as Amos Isuku ‘m’ 35, Oheneme Kingsley ‘m’ 40 and Raphael Ebisin ‘m’ 34.
Furthermore, he remarked that four out of the total suspects paraded were notorious armed robbers and kidnappers who specialized in kidnapping and robbing innocent citizens of their hard earned money and valuables.
“The command arrested one Osaro Iguodala ‘m’ 20 who posed as passenger along Ekenwan road, Benin city. State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), also arrested seven man armed robbery gang acting on credible intelligence.
“We have recovered four locally made cut to size guns and one unregister Toyota Camry salon car and they are currently under investigation”
However, in an interview, Raphael Ebisin narrated that it was one of his friends that called him to drive him somewhere but he never knew they were going for illegal work.
“I am using this opportunity to assure residents of our readiness in making sure that they can sleep with their two eyes closed. I urge Edo people on the need to be vigilant at all time and to report any clandestine activity in their domain for prompt attention of the police.”
