Easter celebration should be for Nation Building— Tunde Eso

A governorship aspirant in Osun State, Tunde Eso, has pleaded with Nigerians to sacrifice their Easter celebration for nation building.

Mr. Eso who gave the advice in a statement made available on Sunday to dailydispatchnewspaper by his media office in Ilesa, Osun State, said the reason for season is majorly the extension of sacrifice to humanity by Jesus Christ.

Eso, therefore, urged Osun State compatriots and Nigerians to cultivate the selfless attitude of Jesus Christ who gave himself to save mankind without collecting a dam or receiving a penny.

“I hereby congratulate fellow Christians on this year’s celebration of Easter and encouraged all to be selfless and happy in spite of the prevailing situation, that better days are ahead, if all start to sacrifice for the betterment of the country”

As we celebrate Easter let us be mindful of entrenching peace, unity, commitment, probity, selflessness and build a formidable nation to the envy of all nations”, he said.

According to Eso, lack of vision and greed are responsible for economy doldrums in Nigeria.

“I hereby, urge Nigerians to entrench selfless service, commitment in their dealings and advice youths and students to prepare themselves and step forward by taking over leadership mantle from the older generation because those who attained our independence are even youths”.
