COVID-19 Ogun: Two New Confirmed Cases, Total Confirmed Now 117 With 35 Discharged

On Sunday, May 10th, 2020, the NCDC announced two new confirmed cases of the COVID-19 in Ogun State, bringing the total number of confirmed cases so far in the state to 117.

This is as the Ogun State Ministry of Health had earlier announced that a total of 35 patients, who tested negative to the virus twice, had been discharged to rejoin their families.

Currently, there are 77 active cases being handled in the treatment and isolation centres set up across the state, as the state ministry continues contact tracing, in order to curb community spread of the Coronavirus.

The State has recorded a total of five COVID-19 related deaths.

The general public is advised to keep maintaining social distancing as the use of facemasks alone may not avoid the risk of infection.
