Club Match Play: BCGS beats Ikeja Golf Club by 21.5/19.5 points

It was a sweet victory for the Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS) Team over Ikeja Golf Club Team at the Club Match Play concluded on Sunday at Benin Club Golf course, GRA, Benin City, Edo State.

The two days match play golf event which featured top golfers from both clubs hereby ended 21.5 – 19.5 in favour of the host team.

The BCGS Team led by its Captain, Prince Aghatise Erediauwa faced an herculean task from the visitors on day one of the event as the game ended 7/7.

However, the day two match proved difficult for Ikeja Golf Club Team led by its Captain, Jolomi Ideh, just as the team fell to the fire power of the Captain Aghatise led team by 14.5 – 12.5 points.

The highlight of the match play was the presentation of picture of the Ikeja Gold Club house to BCGS, while the status of Asoro, that was to be presented to the winner was retained by the host, being the winner of the event.
