Catholic Church Releases Names of 13 dead, 23 injured in Ozubulu attack

The Nnewi Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church has released the names of the parishioners who were killed and injured the massacre which took place at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State on Sunday, August 6, 2017.
Bishop of Nnewi, Most Reverend Hilary Paul Odili Okeke in a statement on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 announced that the church had taken up responsibility to help the victims of this hideous crime which, according to the Nigerian police, was perpetrated by drug gangs at war, according to the thetrentonline.com.

On Sunday, 6th August 2017, during the celebration of the Holy Mass in St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu, gunmen attacked the people in the church, killing some and wounding some. The following is the record of victims of the attack:
