Burial Committee Announces Funeral Arrangements for Late Chief Sir (Dr.) Paddy Kemdi Njoku

The Burial Committee for the late Chief Sir (Dr.) Paddy Kemdi Njoku, KSS, KSJI, popularly known as Omenukoaku, has announced the funeral arrangements for the respected administrator, community leader, and devout Catholic knight, who passed away in May 2026 at the age of 75.

In a statement issued in Abuja on behalf of the Njoku family, the committee said the funeral activities would begin on Monday, August 3, 2026, with a Requiem Mass at 5:00 p.m. at the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja.

The programme will continue on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, with a Service of Songs and Night of Tributes scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Boardwalk Fun City, Plot 1001, Ibrahim Tahir Lane, Utako, Abuja. The event is expected to bring together family members, friends, associates, professional colleagues, and admirers to celebrate Dr. Njoku’s life, values, and contributions to society.

According to the committee, the final funeral rites will take place on Thursday, August 13, 2026, beginning with a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Okwunakuwa, Uvuru, Aboh-Mbaise, Imo State. He will be laid to rest immediately after the service.

The committee invited friends, colleagues, community leaders, and well-wishers to join the family in honouring the memory of a man it described as one whose life was defined by service, integrity, faith, and an unwavering commitment to humanity.

Signed by the Chairman of the Burial Committee, HC. Engr. (Dr.) Johnny O. Chukwu, a retired Federal Permanent Secretary, FCTA, the statement noted that Chief Sir (Dr.) Paddy Kemdi Njoku’s enduring legacy and contributions would continue to inspire generations to come.
