Bukar takes over from suspended Babachir Lawal

Following the suspension of Babachir Lawal as the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, SGF, the Permanent Secretary, General Services Office, Alhaji Muhammed Bukar, has taken over as the acting SGF.

Daily Trust quoted a source as saying “Mr Bukar has taken over as the acting SGF. He is the most senior of the six Permanent Secretaries in the office (OSGF).”

 Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Wednesday suspended Lawal over allegation of corruption in contract awards at the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).
