Buhari To Undergo Medical Check-ups While On Leave-Presidency

The Presidency on Thursday formally confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari will be proceeding on vacation.
A statement from the Presidency said Buhari will on Thursday (today) leave for the United Kingdom.
The statement, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said the leave is part of Buhari’s annual vacation.
According to Adesina, the President is expected to resume work on February 6, 2017.
The statement said during the vacation, the President will also undergo routine medical check-ups.
It added: “In line with Section 145 (1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the President of the Senate, and Speaker, House of Representatives, have been duly communicated.
“While away, the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, will perform the functions of the Office of the President.”
