Buhari speaks with Governor Bello, says all is well

Goveror Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has disclosed that he spoke with President Muhammadu Buhari who is currently on medical vacation in London on phone.
In a statement by his Director General, Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo, the governor disclosed Buhari during the phone call which lasted for few minutes said all is well with his health.
The statement signed by Bello’s Director General, Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo, said the governor spoke with Buhari while he was on a visit to Lagos in company of the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, a few members of the House and some of his cabinet members.
The statement reads: ”While in Lagos, President Muhammadu Buhari called Governor Yahaya Bello and interacted with him for a couple of minutes. Governor Bello was in the company of the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, a few other Honourable Members of the House, Honourable Commissioners and other top government functionaries. ” The President thanked the Governor for his support and his leadership qualities. He told the Governor that he is observing rest and will return very soon to continue his assignment of providing purposeful leadership for the nation.
“We urge all Kogites to remain steadfast and believe in the policies of the New Direction administration to rebound our State from decades of failure. Your Governor will continue to make you proud. ‘
‘The past week has seen the Executive Governor of Kogi State performing the role of a national leader who has brought the picture of Kogi State to the national view.
“An unusual State Executive Council meeting was held on Wednesday March 1, 2017, as meeting commenced at exactly 7am. The Governor arrived his office that day at exactly 6:30am. It was one of the most successful EXCO meetings by the New Direction administration.
”Immediately after the EXCO Meeting on that day, national limelight shifted to Kogi State as thousands of Muslim and Christian faithful joined the Governor to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and the nation as a whole.”
