Buhari meets Akwa Ibom leaders, promises infrastructure development in South-South
A delegation of leaders and elders of Akwa Ibom State on Monday visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The delegation, led by the former governor of the state, Godswill Akpabio, promised to support the president’s re-election bid in 2019.
President Buhari on his part listed several infrastructure projects in Akwa Ibom and the southern states.
He also promised equitable distribution of appointments across all states of the federation.
