Breaking:Tribunal strikes out APM petition against VP Shettima

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in court of appeal Abuja on Wednesday struck out a petition of the Allied Peoples Movement seeking to nolify the nomination of Kashim Shettima as the running mate/vice candidate to Bola Tinubu in the February 25, 2023 presidential election under the All Progressives Congress.

The APM, in its petition marked CA/PEPC/04/2023, sought the nullification of Tinubu’s election on the grounds of alleged double nomination of the Vice-Presidential candidate of the APC, Shettima.

The five-man panel of judges led by Justice Haruna Tsammani read out the judgment.

The tribunal in a judgment said the APM lacked the locus standi to institute matters bothering on nomination and sponsorship of VP Shettima.
