Breaking: YORUBA MOVE ACTRESS,MOJI OLAIYA DIES FEW DAYS AFTER CHILDBIRTH IN CANADA
A frontline female member of Thearter and Movie Practitioners of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Moji Olaiya is dead,a statement from the body and made available to Dailydispatch said
The statement issued by Public and Media Officer of the association,Yomi Fash-Lanso said she died early house of Thurday in Canada,few days after childbirth.
‘Its with heavy heart and sad disposition to hear about the sudden death of our colleague, friend and sister Moji Olaiya who’s death occurred few hours ago in Canada few days after giving birth’,Fash-Lanso said.
The statement added further that information has it that, the late actress had heart seizure and thereafter gave up the ghost
‘According to reports that we gathered we learnt she had heart seizure and couldn’t make it’,the statement stated. The deceased was the daughter of the late renowned musician,Victor Olaiya
‘We enjoin all members of TAMPAN and friends to stay calm and easy as we get further reports. We pray her soul finds eternal rest with her creator and pray to Almighty Allah to bear the family she left behind the fortitude to bear this great irreparable lost’,Fash-Lanso wrote.
Similarly, a veteran in the movie industry,Bolaji Amusan,popularly called Mr Latin also confirmed the demise of the actress.
‘She died early this morning in Canada, she gave birth a month ago, she was pronounced dead after taking her to the hospital in Canada’,Amusan wrote.
However, condolence messages have continued to pour over the untimely death from fans of the actress and the entertainment body.
Among those who dropped the messages on penpushing media social network include,a renowned veteran radio broadcaster, Olusesan Ekisola who wrote,’May her soul rest in peace. May God Comfort her aging father and the rest of the family. Sad loss indeed’.
Also a legal practitioner based in United States of America, who is a participant on the platform,Godzdaughter Adedeji lamented thus,’May Moji’s soul rest in peace. Just received the news on our High School’s platform now. May God comfort the whole family’.
The Chairman,Ogun State Chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigerian,SWAN,Hakeem Akintunde said, ‘We have received reports that Yoruba Actress, Moji Olaiya is Dead. This is coming barely few weeks after Nollywood was thrown into mourning with the deaths of two popular actors, Olumide Bakare and Pastor Ajidara’.
Akintunde regretted that,her death also come barely two months after she gave birth to a baby girl.
’Moji passed away in a hospital in Canada.. It was said that her cause of death could be linked to complications that arose from her child birth in March.
