Breaking: Troops Arrest Notorious Bandit ‘Sule Yellow’ After Ransom Collection, TikTok Account Disabled
An intelligence-led operation by the Nigerian military has resulted in the arrest of a notorious bandit identified as Sule Yellow, who was widely known on TikTok by the handle “suleyellow6.”
Security sources said the suspect was apprehended late Sunday night while returning from collecting ransom money paid for the release of a kidnapped victim.
Sule Yellow had recently gained attention on social media after appearing in a TikTok Live session earlier this month, where he was seen alongside other suspected bandits and insurgents, openly displaying their activities.
Following the operation, security authorities reportedly moved swiftly to disable the TikTok account linked to the suspect. The account is no longer accessible.
Sources involved in the operation said the suspect’s demeanor during his arrest sharply contrasted with the bold image he projected online. Witnesses described him as visibly shaken and fidgeting, struggling to speak as he was taken into custody.
Security officials say the arrest forms part of ongoing military and intelligence efforts to track down criminal networks responsible for banditry and kidnapping across parts of the country. Further investigations are expected to reveal more details about the suspect’s activities and possible accomplices.
