Tinubu Honours Super Falcons with National Awards, Cash Gifts

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conferred national honours on all players and officials of the Super Falcons, following their stunning victory at the 2025 WAFCON tournament.

During a special reception held Monday at the Presidential Villa, President Tinubu awarded each team member the prestigious Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) title. He praised the team for their discipline, determination, and the pride they brought to Nigeria through their championship-winning performance.

As part of the reward, each player and staff will receive $100,000 from the presidency in recognition of their achievement. In a further show of support, the Nigerian Governors Forum also pledged ₦10 million each to the players and officials.

President Tinubu hailed the Super Falcons as symbols of unity, strength, and the resilient spirit of Nigerian women, describing their win as a source of national inspiration.
