BREAKING: Soldier kills suicide bomber in UNIMAID

One of the soldiers stationed at the University of Maiduguri, UNIMAID, has killed a suicide bomber who attempted to infiltrate the institution through its Works Department.

The suicide bomber attempted to infiltrate the institution through the back gate but was gunned down by the soldier.

UNIMAID Public Relations Officer, Tanko Ahmed, in a terse statement confirmed the incident which he said occurred at about 11pm on Sunday.

Ahmed disclosed that the Works Department where the incident occurred had been cordoned off by security agents in order to make the area safe.

“The area has been cordoned off by security agents as the students move about,” Ahmed said.
