BREAKING: Senate in closed session ahead of 2017 budget passage

The Nigerian senate is currently in a closed door session ahead of the passage of the 2017 budget.

Recall that the budget report was laid on Tuesday and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had said it will be considered and passed on today.

However, shortly after taking prayers, on Thursday, Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, moved a motion on the demise of a businessman, Ahmadu Chanchangi.

The consideration and passage of the 2017 budget report, according to the senate Order Paper was supposed to follow prayers, but the senators, instead went into a closed session.
