Breaking: S’Court to deliver judgment in Taraba, Abia gov’ship disputes by 2pm.
The Supreme Court has fixed judgment for 2pm today in the governorship dispute in Taraba State between Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC, in the appeal, is challenging the return of Ishaku for a second term in the last governorship election.
A seven-man of the Supreme Court, led by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour, after taking arguments from lawyers to parties, said judgment will be delivered at 2pm today.
The panel is scheduled to hear about 20 of such appeals today.
It has commenced hearing in the appeal in respect of Delta State, between Great Ogboru and Ifeanyi Okowa.
Also the Supreme Court has scheduled judgment for 2pm today in the Abia State governorship dispute between Okezie Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Alex Otti of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
Otti and his party are challenging Ikpeazu’s victory in the last governorship election.
