Breaking: Police arrest Deji Adeyanju
Men of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested a Human Rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, who led some groups of protesters to the Force headquarters this morning, NewsBreakNG can report.
It was further learnt that the squad of the IGP, Ibrahim Idris carried out the arrest for organising a protest tagged: #PoliceNotPolitician.
Contained in the cardboard protesters used in expressing their grouse were some inscriptions:
“Police are not politicians”.
“2019 election is in danger”.
“Police is not a department of APC”.
“The Romance between Police and APC is Unholy”.
The protesters were equalling calling for the autopsy of the offa robbery prime suspect. The paper reads: “who killed offa robbery prime suspect”?.
Also, in a particular paper, the group stated that “Presidency should not use Police for political games”.
The group also called for the sack of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, referring to how the Vice President Osinbajo ordered the sack of the Former Director Of Department of State Services, Lawal Daura
