Breaking News: Akeredolu Sworn – in As Governor

Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Rotimi Akeredolu, has been sworn-in as the governor of Ondo State.

Akeredolu, a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was sworn-in as the sixth governor of the state at exactly 11:34am on Friday.

The former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, emerged winner of the November 26 election, after polling 244,842 votes to beat his closest rival, Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, who garnered 150,380 votes.

Just last night, the outgoing governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko officially handed over to Akeredolu.
