Breaking: New IGP officially takes over, talks tough ahead February polls
New Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, has warned political deviants to repent or be dealt with according to the law.
Addressing DIGs, AIGs and CPs as well as other senior officers at Force HQ Abuja today at 11.30am while officially taking over from his predecessor Ibrahim Idris, he warned that “any group of persons or individual who threaten the election, we shall not hesitate to apply the law.”
He assured Nigerians that the elections shall be peaceful, saying: “l will provide a responsible leadership.”
