BREAKING: Lagos govt demolishes shops at Ikeja Computer Village

Officials of the Lagos state government on Wednesday, May 3, began demolition of shops located at the Ikeja New Garage along the popular Computer Village, Ikeja, Premium Times reports.

This comes seven days after the Lagos state government disclosed that efforts were on-going to relocate Computer Village in Ikeja to world class ICT Park.

It was gathered that about 18 shops have been demolished as at the time of this report, with heavily armed police officers supervising the demolition.

However, a shop owner told Premium Times on the condition of anonymity that they were informed that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode intends to use the space for a BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) park.
