Breaking: Gbenga Daniel makes u-turn agrees to run for senate

Former Governor of Ogun state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has ignored the National Working Committee(NWC), of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP,) accepting to run for the Senate with Buruji Kashamu’s faction of the party in Ogun state.

Gbenga Daniel had been in the camp of Lanre Adebutus faction of the party until the Court Judgement which recognized Senator Buruji Kashamu faction of the party.

Kashamu’s faction had nominated Gbenga Daniel for Ogun west Senatorial election.

The National Leadership of PDP vowed not to recognized Kashamu’s faction in the party.

However, the former governor who responded via his twitter handle agreed to contest for Senate though he claimed to be committed to Atiku’s Presidency.

Gbenga Daniel is the Director General of Atiku campaign organization.

He is currently in Dubai with the Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
