Breaking: Fubara Appoints New SSG, Chief of Staff in Rivers

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has approved the appointment of Dr. Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Barrister Sunny Ewule as Chief of Staff (CoS).

The appointments were announced on Thursday, with both officials scheduled to be sworn in later in the day at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House in Port Harcourt.

According to the announcement, the swearing-in ceremony is set for 2:00 p.m., marking a significant development in the composition of the governor’s administrative team.

Dr. Wokoma, who takes over as SSG, is expected to play a central role in coordinating government policies and ensuring effective implementation of the administration’s programmes. Similarly, Ewule, as Chief of Staff, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the governor’s office and serve as a key link between the governor and other arms of government.

The appointments come as Governor Fubara continues efforts to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery in Rivers State.
