Breaking: Four victims rushed to hospital as another building collapses in Lagos

No fewer than four persons have been injured in a new building collapse on Lagos Island.

The defective building collapsed while another building beside it was being demolished on Monday.

But the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) said it was the one that demolished the building.

The Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, said that firefighters from the Sari Iganmu division have been deployed in the area.

Musibau stated that the building had a partial collapse.

Four rescued victims, he said, have been taken to hospital.

But LABSCA spokesperson Titi Ajirotutu said the building had already been demolished by LABSCA.

Ajirotutu said a scavenger was injured in the process of carting away door steel and other materials.
