Breaking: Ex-minister Solomon Dalung loses father

Solomon Dalung, the former Sports Minister, has confirmed the passing of his father, Nimgbak William Fabong Dalung, at the remarkable age of 105 years.

Dalung shared the news in a WhatsApp chat with Sporting Tribune, mentioning that the loss of his father occurred while he was in the midst of preparations for the burial of his mother, Nalkat Yah Chirram, who passed away at the age of 90 earlier in the month.

While making final preparations for my mother’s burial on Saturday, 23/11/2023, I received yesterday, 18/12/2023, another devastating news of the passage of my father, Nimgbak William Fabong Dalung, at the age of 105 years.

“When he (the father) received the news of my mother’s exit, he called and commiserated with me. My father appreciated my modest efforts in taking care of them. He finally left me with these words, ‘Take heart because I am also on my way.’ Was these the parting gift, my beloved Nimgbak?

Nimgbak Dalung had served as a retired Director of Health within the Taraba State Local Government Service Commission.
