BREAKING: Cross River senator, Enoh, decamps from PDP to APC amid protest

Senator from Cross River Central, John Enoh, on Tuesday announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Speaking on the floor of the senate, Enoh, who is the Chairman of the senate committee on finance, disclosed that he had registered as a member of the APC in his ward.

Reacting to Enoh’s defection, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki wished him well on his sojourn in the APC.

“I wish him fruitful service to his people on the platform he has chosen,” Saraki said.

Meanwhile the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members of the Nigerian Senate are currently protesting over the defection of Enoh APC.

Though details of what led to his defection are still sketchy, it was learnt that his colleagues in the opposition party are not happy over the situation.

Some of them are complaining that Enoh did not inform them before taking his decision to leave their fold.
