Breaking: A two storey building under construction collapsed in Lagos

A two storey building under construction has. collapsed at the Bogije area of Ibeju Lekki Lagos .The collapsed building is located on Chief Elemoro street directly behind the popular Ideal Supermarket , Bogije Bus Stop , Ibeju Lekki . Area Boys have cordoned off the access road to the building.They are likely to have been retained by the Owners / Developers in a bid to cover up the story.
The heavy torrential rain yesterday may have hastened the collapse of a clearly defective structure .
Our reporters were denied access but portions of the collapsed building could be sighted from a distance .
Residents confirned the collapse which shook nearby buildings .
Many residents took to their heels fearing an earthquake.
