BASA Agreement: Air Peace CEO, Allen Onyema Commends Tinubu

Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, shared his thoughts during the signing of the BASA (Bilateral Air Services Agreement) between Nigeria and Brazil.

He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking bold and strategic actions that benefit both the aviation sector and the country as a whole.

“For too long, it was a major gap that two of the largest nations on their continents—Brazil and Nigeria—lacked direct air connectivity.

This agreement changes that and opens the door to vast opportunities. It will generate thousands of jobs and foster deeper cultural and economic collaboration,” Onyema stated.

He added that Air Peace is ready to support the initiative fully. “We brought a Boeing 777 to Brazil as a clear signal of our readiness. It’s our way of showing President Tinubu that we are committed to launching this route and helping to build a stronger link between our two nations.”
