Automobile academy to organise driving safety, security workshop in Ogun

The Automobile Technical Training Academy has concluded arrangement for the forthcoming one day workshop on advanced driving safety, security and basic vehicle maintenance for company staff.
The workshop scheduled to hold at the automobile academy, Idoye, Lusada, Ogun State on April 6th, 2019 is anticipated to feature no fewer than 200 participants coming from different parts of Nigeria.
The participants which will be drawn from various organisations across the country will be tutored on the essence of safety and security driving on Nigeria roads.
According to the director of programmes at the Academy, Obasi Ifeanyi, he noted that the workshop is aimed at helping drivers and organizations to mitigate the vulnerabilities that put motor vehicles at avoidable risks.
He said: “Attitudinal key to a successful driving career as well as basic vehicle maintenance will dominate the April 2019 edition of Automobile Technical Training Academy training programme, located in Lusada Ogun State.
“The academy is focused on ways of making vehicle driving user – friendly thereby improving safety, security and maintenance.”
Furthermore, he remarked: “The training as usual will focus on defensive driving techniques, accident prevention, driver attitude which is key to a successful driving career, vehicle maintenance, effects of drugs, substandard spare parts, fuel and tyre management.
“Participants will have the opportunity to check their eyes and know their visual status as an optometrist will be available to give their eyesight the desired attention with eye drugs and eye glasses freely given.”
“Notable facilitators that will positively impart on participants on driving safety service include Mr. Ologunja Solomon, former general manager, human resources administration, ABC Transport with wealth of experience in staff training.
“Others are Mr. Achi Godfrey, an ardent practitioner of automobile service management and training with over four decades experience. Dr. Mrs. Awawu Obasi, an optometrist, and founder of Dr. Mrs. Awawu Obasi Eye Foundation.
“Comm. Akinyemi Olusegun, former Federal Road Safety Corps, and expert in safety and security. Also, Mr. Vincent Akhuetie, an haulage and business consultant with core competence in return load, spare parts brokerage, driver’s recruitment and management service, as well as my humble self,” he concluded.
