Assassination attempt: stop making indefensible allegation against me – Bello warns Melaye
The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has told Senator Dino Melaye to stop seeing the state as his fishing point.
He also warned the Senator to stop making reckless accusation against him.
The governor was responding to claims that he had a hand in the alleged assassination attempt on Melaye.
Governor Bello who spoke through his Media Aide, Kingsley Fanwo, pointed out that the accusation by Melaye and his supporters is baseless.
Fanwo said, “Senator Melaye and his group should not see Kogi as their fishing point.
“Their allegation against the governor is reckless, unsustainable, uncharitable and indefensible.”
Melaye, Senator representing Kogi West, had last week, cried out over an assassination attempt on his life by unknown gunmen at his residence in Aiyetoro-Gbede Ijumu Local Government Area of the state.
