ARMED ROBBER KILLS ROOM MATE FOR BEIGN PRIVY TO HIS ROBBERY OPERATIONS

A robbery suspect,Badmos Gbadamosi has been arrested by Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing his room mate,because the latter was privy to his reckless and armed robbery lifestyle.
The Police Command Public Relations Officer,Abimbola Oyeyemi made this ugly development known on Sunday,adding that the suspect committed the crime in Awa-Ijebu town of the state.
Oyeyemi said, the suspect on return from a robbery operations on May 13, got home in Mamu area of the town at about 6.30am, met his room mate,Friday Michael sleeping, drew out a locally made pistol and shot him to death
‘A 20yr old boy Badmus Gbadamosi has been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for killing his room mate one Friday Michael’m’ 27yrs. The incident happened on the 13th of May at Mamu area of Awa Ijebu when the suspect came in around 6.30 am and shot the deceased who was sleeping as of that time to death with a locally made pistol’.
The police image maker said the gunshot attracted other occupants of the house to the scene, and immediately reported to the police which led to arrest of the suspect.
‘The sound from the gun attracted other occupants of the house to the scene and they quickly alerted the police. The DPO Awa Ijebu division led his men to the scene and the suspect was promptly arrested’,Oyeyemi said.
He added that,preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is a member of a notorious armed bandits terrorizing the area,and that the deceased have accosted him on one or two occasions while coming from robbery scene.
‘It was the fear that the deceased may exposé him that prompted him to sniff life out of him. He has made useful information to the police which will help in nabbing other members of his group’Oyeyemi said.
He said,the Commissioner of Police Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the transfer of the suspect to Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad for discrete investigation, while the body of the deceased has been deposited in the morgue for post mortem examination.
