Archbishop Idahosa tasks Nigerians on unity for betterment of the country

Archbishop of Church of God Mission International Inc. (CGMI), Archbishop Margaret Benson Idahosa has urged Nigerians irrespective of religious and political affiliations to unite for the betterment of the country.

Mama, as fondly called, hereby advised politicians in the country to eschew politics of bitterness and do or die affairs, adding that politics should be a contest hinged on sportsmanship.

He made this admonition when members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State council paid her visit on the occasion of her 75th birthday in Benin City, the state capital.

Speaking further, she assured that nothing would disintegrate the country, as saints are on their kneels at all time lifting Nigeria up in prayers, while predicting that Nigeria would experience growth in all sectors as from the year 2025,

Mama said: “Politicians, should know that politics is not a do or die affairs. They should do it the way that God wants us to do it. I am begging all politicians from the President down to the man on the street to allow God to work in our nation.

“I believe that the will of God must be done in Nigeria, not the will of the enemies, but God has made us Nigeria and he put us here and no one can eradicate Nigeria.

“Nigeria as a country will experience growth in all sectors as from 2025. Nigerians irrespective of religious and political affiliations must unite for the betterment of the country. The prediction is a ministration from God.

“As for the incessant killings and destruction of property in some parts of the country, there is no reason for such as killings is a grievous sin in the sight of God. Enough is enough, let us do it the way God wants us to do it.”

Also, she noted: “Death is final, there is nothing you can do about death. Once a life is gone, it is gone and there is nothing one can do to say let’s go and enquire from the death. It cannot be done, but let’s save lives. Let us unite together, it is then the Lord will command His blessings into this nation.

“We believe that the desire of the righteous cannot be eroded. Whatever the desire of the Children of the living God wish is, that is what the Lord will honour.”
