Araraume Congratulates Tinubu, Nigerians on 65th Independence Anniversary

A senior chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians on the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary, describing the occasion as a milestone for reflection and renewed commitment to national unity and progress.

In a goodwill message personally signed by him and released on Wednesday in Abuja, Araraume said the anniversary presents “a timely opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s collective journey—one marked by resilience, unity, and significant progress in the ongoing quest to build a stronger, more prosperous society.”

He commended President Tinubu for what he described as “visionary leadership,” noting that the administration’s transformative reforms are actively reshaping Nigeria’s future.

According to him, the Renewed Hope Agenda has driven economic diversification, job creation, and poverty reduction through initiatives such as the Consumer Credit Corporation and the Nigerian Youth Investment Fund, which empower citizens with access to credit and entrepreneurial support.

Araraume also highlighted the government’s solarization projects aimed at providing sustainable energy solutions for millions of Nigerians in rural areas, as well as fiscal reforms that have reduced the debt service-to-revenue ratio and redirected resources toward development.

He further praised the introduction of the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which has disbursed billions of naira in interest-free loans to indigent students, alongside initiatives like the Digital and Creative Enterprises (DICE) programme that equip youths with technology and innovation skills.

On infrastructure, Araraume pointed to the rehabilitation of over 3,000 kilometres of roads, new railway projects, and upgrades to airports and seaports, all of which he said are boosting trade and connectivity. He also lauded the granting of autonomy to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), which has accelerated infrastructural growth and created career opportunities for civil servants.

“These reforms serve as clear demonstrations of the administration’s unwavering commitment to inclusive growth, sustainable development, and a brighter future for all Nigerians,” he said.

As the nation marks 65 years of independence, Araraume urged citizens to remain united in the pursuit of nation-building, stressing that Nigeria has the capacity to overcome its challenges and unlock its full potential.

“Happy Independence Day, Nigeria,” he concluded.
