APC Fixes May 2026 for Presidential Primary Ahead of 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced May 15 and 16, 2026, as the dates for its presidential primary election in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

The timetable, released via the party’s official X handle, outlines a comprehensive schedule covering the screening of aspirants, appeal processes, and primaries for all elective positions.

According to the schedule, aspirants seeking the party’s presidential ticket will pay ₦30 million for the expression of interest form and ₦70 million for the nomination form. Governorship aspirants are expected to pay ₦50 million, while fees for Senate, House of Representatives, and other positions vary.

The party stated that the outlined process is designed to ensure a transparent and credible primary election, in line with established electoral guidelines.

The announcement marks a significant step in the APC’s early preparations for the 2027 elections, setting the stage for what is expected to be a highly competitive race within the ruling party.
