APC extends electronic membership registration to February 8

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its ongoing electronic membership registration exercise to February 8, 2026, following appeals from party stakeholders seeking more time for members and supporters to register and validate their details.

The decision was taken at the 183rd meeting of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the NWC also approved a revised timetable for its internal activities. According to the new schedule, Ward Congresses will now take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while the party’s National Convention has been fixed for March 27–28, 2026.

However, the APC announced that Osun State, Ekiti State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will be excluded from the congresses due to impending elections, while Rivers State will not participate because the tenure of its current executive committees is still subsisting.

The NWC further constituted the National Convention Planning Committee to oversee preparations for the convention.

The party said additional details on the adjusted congress and convention timetable, as well as the full composition of the planning committee, will be communicated at a later date.
