Amosun Congratulates Bisi Akande At 78
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has, congratulated elder statesman and founding Interim Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on the occasion of his 78th birthday on Monday, January 16, 2017.
The Governor in a statement joined family, friends and political associates to felicitate with the astute politician and administrator who has served Nigeria in different capacities including as Deputy Governor of Old Oyo State and Governor of Osun State.
Governor Amosun seized the occasion to recognize the efforts and leadership of Chief Akande in the formative years of the APC.
“Your efforts as a selfless leader, voice of reasoning and reconciliation stand you out as one of the Icons of our time,” Amosun said.
He added, “your wealth of experience, astuteness and courage played a huge role in the enthronement and sustenance of democracy and rule of law in Nigeria.”
The Governor prays that God continues to bless Chief Akande with good health and long life so that he can further contribute to the socio-economic and political development of Nigeria.
