Air Peace Versus Oshiomhole: Peter Obi Is a Tribalistic, Igbo-Centric, Sectional Leader

Unsuited For The Presidency of a Multiethnic and Multicultural Country Like Nigeria

Nigerians, please fact-check me: When the Anambra State Government demolished the head office of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company in Nnewi two months ago, Peter Obi said NOTHING because the dispute involved an Igbo-controlled state government and an Igbo-owned company.

However, after Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who is of South-South origin, protested Air Peace’s allegedly shabby treatment of him and other Nigerians, Peter Obi has now found his voice and come out strongly in support of Air Peace and against Senator Oshiomhole because this is an Igbo-owned business against a non-Igbo person.

He released a statement directed at Oshiomhole, asking “Nigerian Elites and political leaders to give strong and deliberate support to Indigenous businesses.”

Why did Peter Obi not release any statement when Innoson’s head office was demolished? Is Innoson not an ‘indigenous business’? Is the Anambra Governor not a ‘political leader’, and even more so than Senator Oshiomhole? Don’t Innoson Motors also need support?

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing is more important to Nigeria’s military-industrial complex than Air Peace. They not only make vehicles for the general public and the government, but they also make weapons-grade hardware and armoured vehicles for our military and spare parts for our Air Force jets.

But because it was an Igbo government versus an Igbo company, Obi said nothing.

That is how he attacked the Lagos State Government for demolishing a part of Landmark Beach Resort’s property to make way for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, but he said NOTHING when the Anambra State Government demolished Prophet Odumeje’s church and other buildings.

This is in line with Obi’s tribalistic character. That is Peter Obi’s regular trademark. If it happens in Igboland, Obi will suddenly become deaf, dumb, and blind. But Peter Obi will dance naked in public if it occurs in the North or Southwest.
