Ag President Osinbajo Meets With Security Agencies

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo last night presided over a meeting of the presidential committee on assets’ recovery.
The meeting, held at the Vice President’s Wing of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa Abuja.
It was attended by Inspector-General of Police Ibrahim Idris, Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) Lawal Daura, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu and the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Ekpo Nta.
Also in attendance were the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed and the Director-General of the Nigeria Processing Zone Authority.
Osinbajo’s spokesman, Mr Laolu Akande, told our correspondent on telephone that the meeting reviewed activities of the assets’ recovery committee.
Akande, however, declined comments on the details of what transpired at the closed-door meeting which lasted two hours.
Our correspondent reports that the heads of the security and the anti-corruption agencies had earlier met with the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari. DAILY TRUST
