AFRICAN ARTS AND CRAFTS EXPO TO CLOSE IN GRAND STYLE THIS SUNDAY

The 10th edition of the African Arts and Crafts Expo will officially wind down on the 17th of September, 2017 after an eventful two weeks of art and culture exposition.

The Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Segun Runsewe made this known in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday stating that the general public is hereby invited to enjoy the best of Art and Culture.

Expressing his satisfaction at the huge success of the Expo thus far, Runsewe intimated that the closing ceremony will be done in grand style just like the opening and will be graced by eminent personalities.

Some of the dignitaries expected at the closing ceremony include, Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Eyo Etta who doubles as chairperson while the Special Guest of Honour will be His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor of Kogi State.

Others are, Mother of the Day, Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa; Royal Father of the Day, HRM Alh. (Dr.) Adamu Baba Yunusa, Emir of Abaji and Chairman FCT Council of Traditional Rulers while all Ambassadors and High Commissioners are expected to grace the event as special Guests amongst other very important personalities.

Runsewe added that the closing ceremony will sum up the huge success of AFAC and will feature things of interest like Awards for the best state, best Exhibitors, best Country among many other programs lined up to make the closing ceremony truly befitting of AFAC as an international Expo.

The NCAC helmsman and chief organizer of AFAC reiterated his commitment to improving on the 10th edition promising that the 11th edition which is expected to hold early next year when the weather is more clement will be a blast noting that plans are already underway to make it a global event with more components
