AFENIFERE SETS FOR FORENSIC DISCOURSE ON AGITATION
Afenifere Renewal Group,(ARG), said it will on Tuesday converge in Abeokuta,to proffer way out through forensic discourse on current socio-political issues within the zone and the country at large.
The Socio-Cultural Group made this known in a statement issued and made available on Sunday,which was signed by its Publicity Secretary,Tokunboh Olugbanmu on Sunday, explaining that Ogun State Chapter will host the meeting.
Olugbanmu added further that,the meeting tagged ‘Consultative Dialogue’, will engage a cross section of Yoruba race at June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta
‘The Ogun State Chapter of Afenifere Renewal Group (ARG) will hold a “Consultative Dialogue” with a cross-section of Yoruba people next Tuesday 18th July at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta’,the statement emphasised.
The group sokesman said the town hall dialogue was in line with ARG’s tradition of always seeking to engage the minds of Yoruba people before taking a position on issues that affect them.
“Our objective is to create a platform for the national leadership of the ARG and other leaders of thought and integrity in Yorubaland to have a forensic discourse on current socio-political issues with the public through a question and answer sessions’.
The body posited that,this will enable many Yoruba people that are concerned about the lack of articulation and clear direction of/for the Yoruba people in the current controversies and agitations in the country to obtain better clarity.
