In terms of population strength, Abeokuta Sports Club is more populated and which we have the governor of the state as grand patron. As a businessman, one will want to be in the midst of such people you can do business with. that is one of the major reasons why I join the club.
Also, we have lots of sports facilities such as squash, tennis, and host of others, that is the major reason. It’s a sports club and they also have social sections. If we are able to know how to interact with people, probably we can be able to see people of goodwill that might have the same quality that might want to do business with you. I think they should also be ready.”
Furthermore, he emphasised: “I think they said the future belongs to God, but we men are born to plan and work with a mission to achieve a vision. Just as I said the vision is for a set time. I think at Olageospatial Global Investment Company (OGIC), we have vision to build the business empire whereby people can connect and achieve their dreams.
“The future we have is like we will be able to create our own importance and see what we could do in the private sector. To provide jobs and create affordable housing units for teeming population of Ogun State indigenes both home and away.
“Also, we have plan in which to be part of what I call informal education in the area of input industry. We are not only to get there to build,. Also, we want to train Ogun State people who are already into building, bricklayer, mixing, or iron bender and lots of others.
“We also want to make sure that due to the experience and exposure we have, we want to train them and can be able to render service anywhere they are.”
Responding on when he nursed the ambition of becoming member, he said: “I can just say like I came to know about the club not quite long, and immediately I just feel like I want to be part of it this year.”
Earlier on, In his welcome address, the president, Deacon Bolarinwa gave glory to God for making everyone to witness the event and to participate in the programme. “Earlier today, we had a good session of sporting activities to welcome our new inductees to the best sporting club on this part of the globe.
“We have also commissioned two projects, a renovated toilet facility in the garden and a cold room. These laudable moves were designed to prepare them for the tasks ahead in becoming responsible members of this great club.
“Presently, we have nine sporting sections while the tenth one, swimming pool is nearing completion. We also have five social sections. We must keep improving and developing our facilities to meet the interest of all members.”
